Artisan Recognition of Prior Learning

Experience Requirement:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in plumbing/electrical (approximately 36 months).
- Additional documentation substantiating your experience as a plumber/electrician.
- Starting and end dates of employment.
- Duties performed, listed in point form.
- Signed by a manager.
- Any relevant quotations/invoices related to your work.
- Additional documentation substantiating your experience as a plumber/electrician.
Registration Process:
- Interview with assessor.
- Evaluation of POE.
- Candidate’s practical & theoretical evaluation.
- Registration of EISA application.
Fees:
- R4 300 - Course Fee

All candidates seeking access to a trade test / External Integrated Summative Assessment (EISA) through Artisan Recognition of Prior Learning must have:
- Completed a standardised official application form provided.
- Have accumulated at least three years relevant verifiable work experience for a particular trade
- The minimum years of work experience may be accumulated from various traceable employers or services provided to customers in the relevant trade.
- The minimum age for a person to register for ARPL is nineteen.
