National Plumbing Course

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL): RPL for access to the external integrated summative assessment: Accredited providers and approved workplaces must apply the internal assessment criteria specified in the related curriculum document to establish and confirm prior learning. Accredited providers and workplaces must confirm prior learning by issuing a statement of result or certifying a work experience record.

RPL for access to the qualification: accredited providers and approved workplaces may recognise prior learning against the relevant access requirements.

We are a NAMB approved Trade testing Centre for Plumbing and will perform the trade test for our candidates enrolled for this course for Plumbing, electrical candidates we assist to be trade tested externally. 

This course is accepted in South Africa and internationally once a conversion examination is done for the country that you want to go to, this is not done by PCD College. 

Last 6 months consists mostly out of practical work on site and various other activities provided by the College.

• Apply Domestic above ground drainage system installation and maintenance techniques
• Understand and apply domestic hot water system installation and maintenance techniques
• Understand and apply domestic cold water system installation and maintenance techniques
• Understand how to apply scientific principles within Mechanical Engineering Services
• How to communicate with others within Building Services Engineering
• Understand and Carry out site preparation and pipework fabrication techniques for domestic areas
• Understand and carry out safe working practices in building.
• Understand and apply domestic sanitation system installation, commissioning services
• Understand and carry out electrical work on domestic plumbing and heating systems and components
• Understand domestic central heating techniques
• Understand domestic hot water system techniques
• Understand domestic cold water techniques
• Understand how to organise resources within Building Services Engineering

NQF Level 3 qualification equivalent to N2 knowledge areas of Engineering Maths, Science and Building Drawings are accredited by the QCTO (SDP 1220/16/032) to offer this complete course after completing this course successfully you will be a Qualified Plumber or Electrician.

• Practical and theoretical course @ R 60 500.00 per year.

  Accommodation is available @ R6500 per month inclusive of 3 meals.

National Courses Starts the 20th of January 2025 and thereafter every Monday throughout the year.
